The hotel offers a dramatic theatrical welcome with music and flowers, several staff and often a audience of public spectators held behind a barrier in the distance, left wondering who is arriving. Location was good and the hotel is one of the main attractions in the area, so staying is a must if you really want to view this modern palace. Staff are well trained and service is very good. The room was well appointed and cleaned to a good standard (not spotless). The communal areas are stunning in this grand palace with beautiful gardens, art and furniture. Food was very good in main restaurant and we enjoyed some delicious local food, although it was not far ahead in terms of quality, than other far less expensive hotels. The breakfast spread was good, and afternoon tea was a nice touch, although selection was a little disappointing with only a few items to choose from. The out door areas are some of the best I have ever seen in any hotel, and the building is an amazing architectural marvel. Its worth the money for sure, as a hotel of this standard in the UK would cost north of £1200 per night and certainly not the £600 per night we paid (which included dinner). If your a luxury traveller and like to be treated like a king/ Queen, its a hotel not to be missed...

Me, my wife & our children came to celebrate my birthday at this marvelous structure and we are really glad we chose Umaid Palace for it. The hospitality by the staff made our stay even more extraordinarily better. Special thanks to Madam SHWETA who gave us the best service possible and fulfilled our every request within the blink of an eye. The staff at the Risala & the Pillars made our lunch, dinner & breakfast extra extra special. For this I give a special thanks to Mr SADDIQUE who was a pleasure to talk to and is such a pleasant personality. And cheers to the amazing chef Mr SHOBIT MATHUR who prepared for us one of the best meals we ever had. The whole staff including SAKSHI, AMAN, HARSIT, ALKA and NERENDE ji served and presented us with great enthusiasm and extraordinary service. I am really glad I visited Umaid Palace and am already suggesting and planning trip for my family and friends to visit this amazing place. Again a thanks to the amazing staff. Loved Everything. The property is GRAND and unlike any other palace hotel in India. Right from the checkin to checkout, every part of the stay was made special. The welcome was very special. The duty manager mentioned that they endeavour to make us feel like King ang queen, and they exactly did that. The chefs Vikram and Shobhit took special care during breakfast and dinner. The room service requests were prompt. Every ask was responded with a "yes/sure/ofcourse". Enjoyed the cookie and mocktail making sessions. The tennis coach was friendly and nice (apparently also the coach for the royal family). Every evening they make your bed, put a dessert / sweet in your room along with a Menu for Pillow - where you can select a pillow for the night based on your neck / back preferences. Still mesmerizing the entire experience. Looking back feels like nothing less than a fairy tale. Thank you Taj and Umaid Bhawan palace team. Love Niral and Ayushi.

Took in a short family holiday at the Umaid Bhawan. The experience was surreal starting off with a grand royal welcome & sufi singers while seated under the majestic grand dome ahead of the lobby. The building edifice is nothing short of grandeur personified with the resident peacocks and well manicured lawns & gardens enhancing overall charm. The highlight of the place has to be the warm service by all of the staff. Thank you, Alka for the warm welcome and send-off. Special mention to the lovely folks that attended to us at the Risala - Saadique, Narendar, Jabbar, Mahavir, chef Shobhit and Barasha. They really fussed over us and made sure our palates were well catered to with food & service fit for royalty. For us, our stay at the Umaid Bhawan was the main highlight of our tour in Jodhpur. Wah, Taj !

Stunning property! Beautifully decorated and lovely gardens. We had a fabulous view from our room . I truly felt that we were living in a palace. Food was amazing in the restaurant. And if there was one thing that was better than the property was the service of the employees. They treated each guest like royalty, learned our names. Went above and beyond my expectations! The hotel gave me some local snacks to take to my mother on a complementary basis. And a lovely gift for myself and an extra one for my daughter when I said that my gift was lovely and that my daughter would probably take it from me!!!
